Cross Country Trains Class 220010 Diesel Multiple Unit, Leamington Spa Station

A night photo of UK Cross Country Trains Class 220010  Voyager diesel multiple unit (DMU) passenger train, standing in the station while en route to Southampton Central station in August 2016, as the sky darkens over the town of Leamington Spa.

 

Leamington Spa station, which also sees passenger train services operated by Chiltern Railways, London Midland Trains (now West Midlands Trains) and a fair amount of through freight traffic, seems almost deserted on what was a lovely summer's evening for trainspotting and photographing trains.

'Cross Country Trains', Class 220 006 Voyager diesel multiple unit, pauses at Truro railway station while operating the 20:18 service to Penzance station, Cornwall, on Wednesday the 10th May 2017.

 

Class 220006 was built between 2000 and 2001 and was allocated to Central Rivers Barton-under-Needwood.

Class 220006 unit coach numbers are as follows: 60306  60706  60206  60406.


Truro signal box in the background dates back to the days of the old Great Western Railway.
